Hi Larry. You are very welcome, and thanks for your kind words. You have paid me a great compliment: My goal as a writer is, in your words, "to make the visualization so easy and real."
Thanks for sharing that concern, Lisa. It is one that I have as well. And, unfortunately, I don't know how Yellowstone and the rest of our world will evolve under our damaging influences.
Agree that more aspens return at YNP have to do with the reintroduction of gray wolves, as well a trophic cascade. Wolves deserve to be relisted as an endangered species under the Endangered Species Act. Wolves benefit ecosystems and the environment by balancing NATURE and increasing the diversity of both fauna and flora.
Thanks, Rick, for your, as usual, informative and well thought out comments. Mostly you are preaching to the choir, but so eloquently and in a way to touch the hearts and minds of your readers. Although we are of like minds, you are giving us tools with which to educate our friends!
Are you aware that a pipeline runs under the Yellowstone River outside the park and ruptured several years ago polluting the beautiful Yellowstone river. That was maddening to me.
Thank you
You're quite welcome, Bonnie.
Hi Rick. As usual, (we're spoiled) a beautiful, enlightening story. You make the visualization so easy and real. Thank you again.

Great that you were able to actually observe the balance. Pray that my grandchildren will be able to do the same

Hi Gregory. I agree with you about the need to protect wolves. You might find my latest blog post of interest on the subject of protecting wolves: http://ricklamplugh.blogspot.com/2021/10/a-brief-history-of-wolves-and-humans.html
Beautiful story! Very calming and relaxing to read. Thank you.
Hi Laura. I'm glad that you enjoyed Yellowstone's Waters and found it relaxing. Thanks for sharing your reaction.
Again, lovely writing, Rick. I always find it fascinating when birds mate for life ... or long-term.
Hi Janet. Thanks for your compliment. I too find long-term relationships among wildlife fascinating and lovely.

Well done as always, Bro. Mr. Toman said it all, didn't he?
Hey Brother, I'm so glad you read and comment. And, yes, Larry Toman's comment as well as that from Ed and Judy Perry are wonderful.
