Thank you for this post with everything going on...

Montana is very different this year...but the wild and wildlife continue on with their lives.

This was wonderful to watch while it was pouring rain outside...

Stay safe and please do keep us posted.

Glad the community has each other to help and support...the pictures I have seen show a new Yellowstone, is on the horizon.

Hi Ramona, and thanks for commenting. I'm glad you enjoyed the slideshow. You're right that life has been different here this year. I anticipate that until an official road for visitor traffic is opened between Gardiner and Mammoth, life will stay different and challenging for Gardiner. Having said that, I remain hopeful. Rick

Thank you for this beautiful spring slide show. Nature's variety never ceases to amaze me. The wildflowers are so vivid. Miss the Rocky Mountain wildflowers, but I am surprised whenever I find the same or similar ones right here on the Oregon coast!

Hi Gail. I'm glad you enjoyed the slideshow. I too am amazed by Nature's variety. And as I recall, the Oregon coast has some beautiful wildflowers too.

Rick, Mary, thank you for this beautiful meditation on Spring! Here in the Willamette Valley we have been doing a lot of navel gazing on this cold wet spring. How wonderful to know that the world is unfolding!

Having lived in Oregon for 36 years, I understand what you mean about navel gazing. This June has actually been pretty wet here in Gardiner--but nothing like what you experience. I'm glad you enjoyed the slideshow, Tom.

Lovely. Thank you.

The flooding is so sad for the people who make a living from visitors. But the animals may enjoy a few moments of peace.

Yes, Patricia, I do fear for the welfare of all the businesses that depend on visitation. But, you're right, the wildlife will have a break from humans.
