Boy, I was with you on this one from the moment you stepped off the porch! Sure would love to visit in winter someday but for now, I need some cocoa to warm up!! Really enjoyed this one!

Thank you for sharing this beautiful moment. I have been to Observation Point in the summer, but never the winter. Your description is so vivid I can feel the chill and hear the sounds of the geyser basin. Breathtaking.

Hi Gail. I'm so glad you enjoyed Observation Point by Headlamp, especially since you've been there in the summer. And thanks for your kind words about the description. A goal of mine is to have the reader (or listener) feel as if they are with me.

I could imagine my husband and I following you and Mary. We are early risers and often spend a bit of time alone as the park is waking up, before other people are about.

That morning time when few visitors are up but lots of wildlife is evident is really a great time to be out and about in Yellowstone. I'm glad you enjoyed the hike!

Thanks, Rick. It was a great early morning, middle of winter hike with the two of you. Enjoy the news letters and updates. I have fond memories of motorcycle camping in Yosemite too long ago. Perhaps one day I will tag along with you when there, again!

Hi Randy! How nice to hear from you and thanks for commenting. I'm glad you came along with Mary and me on the hike. And that you enjoy Love the Wild. If you ever get to Yellowstone, let me know and we'll see what we can put together. Can you believe we're coming up on 56 years since graduating from Overlea? Wow!

Thanks for this one, Rick. I enjoyed it (as always), and was especially impressed to notice the slight differences between what you had written in "Deep into Yellowstone" and what you actually said as you "read" the text. It was more relaxed than the words of the text and, I think, perhaps more engaging to your readers/listeners. Rus

Hey Brother, thanks (as always) for your great observations. When I voice a piece for a podcast I do try to really put myself back in the experience and let my voice share those emotions. Thanks for noticing!
