Hi Rick, I just followed a link here from another blog and found this lovely marmot offering. I have a few marmot poems from my time in Southern Oregon. In the Midwest now with groundhogs (still whistle pigs) which I have watched and written poems about and recently learned how to capture and rehome. I call them flat cats.

Yes, I think I saw them in the upper mountains of Yosemite. And I think also around Juneau, Alaska, something big and plump anyway.
