Describing the amazing ecosystems of Yellowstone river you do perfectly making me feel as I'm back in the park with you Rick. Perfect as always. Hope Mary's ankle healed without problems. Ed Davis

I'm glad, Ed, that you were there with Mary and me. Your feeling that way is the best compliment that I know of as a writer. And Mary healed just fine.

Talk about perfect timing! As I was thinking of all the many things I "should" be doing already this morning, I gave myself permission to stop for a few minutes and read your post. Thank you. For a few minutes I was able to slow down and lose myself in your beautiful descriptions of a part of Yellowstone I have never experienced. What a wonderful escape it was and what a teaching moment for me. SLOW down and experience all the wonder.

Hi MaryAlice. I'm glad this letter arrived at the perfect time. And I'm glad you gave yourself permission to slow down and join Mary and me in the canyon. It is hard to slow down in our fast-paced world, but it slowing down sure pays off.
