For eleven days this spring we rafted 280 miles of the Grand Canyon. Each day we left the river and hiked and scrambled up into wild side canyons to waterfalls and lush vegetation. We watched bighorn lambs play and cactus bloom. At night we slept soundly under the stars and each morning we packed up and started anew. From put-in to take-out we enjoyed a deep dive into the wonders of the Grand Canyon under the skillful and knowledgeable leadership of our guides from Colorado River and Trail Expeditions, a company I thank and highly recommend.
I hope you enjoy this slideshow that captures days filled with the thrill of wild rapids and and the joys of hiking in wild lands.

Thank you for such a beautiful trip down the river. I kept imagining the canyon full with water--what a world that would have been!
Such a beautiful post, Rick! Thank you for repainting my memories. I spent 24 days last April rafting the Canyon. It truly is a life-changing place.
